StyleFlow
Summary
Making custom clothing truly... custom. With the StyleFlow project we set out to create an new way to visualize fabrics on realistic garment mocks. Within this app custom clothier's will have the ability to sit down with a client and create a custom line up in real time. You can choose a specific garment, select a collection either by filtering or searching, and actually showcase what a garment will look like. We didn't stop there. Not only can you visualize the garment, but you can customize as well. You can browse through the entire line up of buttons, linings, threads, and more to create a perfect style for your client.
What we've done
1. Strategic Discovery
2. Web application redesign & optimization
3. Mobile application redesign & optimization
4. Component-based UI-kit
6. Product Design Sprints to explore new functionality
We had work to do
Trinity Apparel already had a robust database with the existing fabrics, buttons, linings, and threads. There were just a few glaring hurtles.
- The collections experience was unorganized
- The filtering system was dated and only useful in certain cases
- There wasn't a way to visualize the garments
- There was no way to save it to a clients profile
- There weren't any next steps
I fixed it.
As the lead designer I worked closely with our customer base to locate the high level problems with the existing designs. After formulating user research interviews, I met with our business team to iron out how to maintain a new volume level within our inventory and warehouse capabilities.
After many iterations we finally landed on what has made the cut as the StyleFlow experience.
How we leveled up.
— Take their product look to the next level
— Fix UX issues in mobile and web application
— Match their bold vision to the look and experience of the product
— Provide a visual framework that will help the product team iterate faster
